Yum cha at Me Wah will become a regular feature on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm. 6223 3688.
Just wanted to share with you that we had a fabulous experience at the Me Wah for Yum Cha recently.
Perfect. Everything authentic about Yum Cha, I felt that I could have been in China, it was great. Even the chicken feet. Always hospitable and polite, excellent food and flavour. The only thing missing was the Pork Buns, but I think they were there, we were just too full.
A wonderfully different alternatively to Sunday brunch.
Four of us dined at Me Wah last night.
We had the $95 tasting menu as we'd been saving all year and thought we may as well go all out. I could list everything but check out the website for the full menu.
It was absolutely beautiful food. Exquisitley presented and served.
The flavours are amazingly fresh and suited every dish to perfection.
My favourite was definately the kobe wok seared waygu.
The menu we had was very seafood orientated and I would have loved a little more variety but on this occassion I went with the flow.
Although the food was amazing, for some reason I still left wondering "was it worth it?"
We couldn't fault a thing, the service from the very attentive staff was especially good. They do a wonderful job.
I'd love to go back and choose from the menu next time, just to get a perspective on serving sizes.
For a once in a lifetime experience the buffet was wonderful but don't think it will stand out in my memory like Marque IV or Fee and Me.
We've been twice now since our last visit, for al a carte.
Absolutely wonderful.
First time I had a duck, chicken and prawn dish which blew me away.
Last weekend I had Buddha Chicken, absolutely gorgeous.
Phil had Sweet and Sour Pork which he declared wonderful. I also had tastes of many other dishes but fell in love with a Duck soup.
Six of our group had the $45 banquet and declared it superb.
Off again tonight courtesy of my wonderful cousin.
Oh what to choose tonight!
can't speak highly enough of the food and the service at Me Wah.
My mouth is watering at the thought of that Buddha Chicken - it is a fantastic dish!
I'm sorry Me Wah but I have been left feeling totally underwhelmed. I have to say the service was SUPERB, EXCELLENT but I don't come for the service (have to tip more lol) the food is too EXPENSIVE but I suppose you are paying for the 'ambiance'. And for any foodies that love Chinese cuisine you cannot go past Yum Cha....just not from Me wah. Firstly their Yum Cha menu is extremely limited when compared with mainland or overseas estabishments. No if you want anything that resembles Yum Cha then goto Castle Zayee in Lenah valley. Trust me looks are extremely deceiving. What's important is the food.
