Oh dear. Took a friend from OS to this wonderfully situated place for coffee and cake after a stroll. Cake was pre-manufactured and tasteless. Coffee ordinary. Service worse. Such a pity.

Oh Dear as well. great view but served up beef burgers raw in the middle to pregnant customers. Then cooked them so more but returned the plates to the table with some of the salad etc that they originally came with missing.

May 2010 - new management, excellent food and service. Only open for lunch at the moment. A fabulous view in a comfortable environment.

Well worth another look I'd say.. The food was great, well priced and our whole table was happy with the choices offered, and commented on the array of flavours in each dish...

Desert menu was even better, apparently new owners from Sydney, and a pastry chef from England, or so our young but very helpful waitress informed us, has turned this place around...We'll be back, and of course, it's still got the best view in hobart... Top job guys, and did I mention we were entertaing a professional chef from europe who said it was his best meal in hobart!
