Oh nooooooo!

I've just returned home after having a beautiful meal at the Maypole Hotel in New Town. Did the usual - straight onto the computer to check what Sir Garrulous has to say today - only to find him handing in his resignation!

I am absolutely devastated! Life as we know it has ceased as of tonight! He has become pivotal in my life (yes, sad but true!). Some people have favourite reality TV programs, I have my favourite reality blog site!

Please don't do it GG. Maybe resume but under a different nom-de-plume? And make sure you let me know.

If you are serious about it, know what an institution you have become.

And you know what - you now become my No 11 Mover & Shaker. My respect is genuine, and my reasons should be obvious.

Vale GG.

I hope GG takes your advice Rita; his blog is usually my first stop every morning after checking emails.
I agree with you about the outing, it was completely unnecessary, but equally GG could have just deleted those comments. Maybe in the end he wanted/needed a break - he was so passionate about his local environment, maybe others were too...(or maybe his blog wants to die young and always be more beautiful than us :)
fingers crossed for a re-incarnation

G'day Rita, GG here. Thanks for your support.

I have decided to kill GG off as the fixation of who I am became the focus, not my messages.

This has compromised me & would have made posting difficult in the future.

To be clear I am not quitting just because there have been negative & personal comments on the blog, I've had them since day one, thats not the issue.

In order to comment freely there mustn't be any confines of identity.

Cheers GG

Thanks for that GG. I know exactly what you mean about being able to write without the confines of identity. It is important for me also to be able to express myself freely without people immediately dissing what I say sheerly from their opinions of me as a person rather than the content of what I was saying.
I hope I can come across another Hobart blog site where I find someone expressing themselves in similar fashion to you under a different name?
I can't believe that someone with such passion about their industry can opt out of commenting for too long.
Till then, please keep in touch via the other favourites - Food Kitty, Nellies etc, as well as mine.
Cheers, Rita
