Word reached me that Paul Foreman, on the strength of my blog about the Maypole counter meal, rocked out there to see if Rita was exaggerating or not. He arrived with a larger party than your usual, but unfortunately they were knocked back as the dining room was full except for a booking for 6 who hadn't yet fronted.
I'm sorry for that Paul, but glad you're keeping an eye on all these food bloggy sites. I thought about the legal implications of actually telling the truth, and freely expressing yourself, about an experience or a thought you have, as we do here in blogland.
I suppose it's a fine line, and I believe there have been some cases of bloggers being taken to court for slander.
I hate to think that I need to temper what I think or feel, but putting it out there in the public domain I suppose equates to something like a bullfight. One day you might well find yourself gored to death! (or even bored to death!).
So - what I'm saying is that maybe I should have one of those Disclaimers at the top of all my posts, stating the obvious, which is that all the opinions expressed herein are solely mine, and that I'll come round to your house & rip your bloody arms off if you won't let me express them! And she will too! (For those too young to recognise that, it's a quote from Aunty Jack - and a Disclaimer).
