Yes - it's official. I heard it direct from the horses (or in this case, the Kitty's) mouth.
She has upped stumps and called it a day for the blogging.
Nellie told us Kitty had stopped blogging in a comment here the other day, but until I actually spoke to Kitty, I remained ever hopeful.
But no. She told me tonight that she is having a rest from the blogging scene. She shut down her site, and I think was surprised at how quickly someone else nabbed it.
If she starts again she will have to create the whole site from scratch. But - from the way she spoke tonight, I don't think she'll be blogging for a while. She DID say she's taking a look at the sites every now and then, so hopefully we haven't heard the last of our Kitty, but it seems that EBay is now more of a drawcard for Kitty than blogland.
She's hooked on this phenomenon and seems to be spending an inordinate amount of time online on that site.
She is looking at doing some cheddar making this winter so I really hope she is tempted to speak to us again, especially about that.
So - the Food Kitty saga, for now, is over. But, ever hopeful as I am, I'll keep an eye out for some of her comments on our sites, and maybe when we least expect it, she'll return!

Let's hope Kitty keeps us informed through yourself, Nellie and Gobbler's sites, Rita.
Our doughty band (doughy?) must stick together to keep the kitchen fires burning.
Especially now winter is biting like buggery.
Sir Grumpy.
PS had a beaut feed from Dominic's Asian Teahouse on Saturday (with leftovers on Sunday!)
I think Kitty needs to get a life
obviously too much time on her hands. Keep up the good work. Cant
wait for the Lenna report
Hi Sir G - yes, I feel we MUST stick together in bloggingland.
Great to hear about your meal at Doms. What did you have?
Anon - Kitty HAS got a life, that's why she's off doing all the other stuff life has to offer, not blogging.
Yes - I'm looking forward to the Lenna experience too. As they say very cornily, watch this space!
Yes, Dominic's, Rita.
We had Thai spring rolls, and Malaysian chicken satay with spicy rice to begin.
I was in a real satay mood after reading an asian blog on it, so I had the Chinese style Chicken Satay for mains.
My missus went for the Chinese style Curried Combination.
We usually have the malaysian mains, such as rendang etc, but tried the Chinese style for a change.
I must say Dom's Chinese style is still a bit Malay-Chinese style when it comes to the satays and curries.
To get that full-on Chinese style you have to venture into his black bean offerings etc.
We had fried rice and steamed rice too and prawn crackers to nibble along on.
Both of us got that quietly humming to ourselves feeling at Dom's...you know, when the food's spot on and you decided you made the right choice!
It's the mark of a bloody good place when you find yourself stuffed but still punting on what you will have next time.
And that next time will be VERY SOON.
Sir Grumpy
