I know most, if not all, of my readers are people who wish good luck to others who are putting their proverbial necks on the chopping block - ie starting up a new restaurant in a new state dealing with many businesses with whom they have had no previous experiences; trying to do business in a town where things can be made quite difficult if you don't adhere to someone elses idea of 'normal'.
Well, that's what Luke and his partner are currently doing down at Grandvewe, setting up their new restaurant.
They have been slaving away for many long months getting things ready for the ultimate opening of their restaurant, which will open (very softly at first) in the next few weeks.
They plan on a more public opening celebration later but will quietly get it happening within the month.
So - I urge anyone interested in supporting new blood to our restaurant scene, and wanting to give these two young people a fair go, to get your cute little butts down to Woodbridge next month, having previously made a booking, and have a meal.
Then get on the blog and tell us all what you think. I will definitely be going along to check it out. If I can donate my hard earned cash to some of those other unworthy dining outlets I have dined at over the years, the least I can do is give it to people who are passionate - about Tassie, their industry and their food.

Just had a look and the grandvewe website, Rita, and was suitably impressed.
I never knew such a quality-looking place existed, although I have seen it mentioned on blogs in the past.
Looks good for a visit soon.
Sir Grumpy
I'll take a look at their site later, Sir G, but glad you took the time to check it out.
Luke has kept in touch through this blog, and emailing and calling me, keeping me updated with his progress. That's no big deal, but it DOES demonstrate to me that here's a guy doing everything he can think of to ensure the success of his venture, including telling someone with a blogsite about what he's doing.
He sent me a copy of his menu a while back too. It sounds wonderful, and I am looking forward to my trip down there.
I am looking forward Rita, as much as you are to another choice in the Channel. Lets hope everyone gets behind them.
Might see you there?!
