Gilt is closing down on Sunday + can anyone help?

...and I'm SO sad about it.

Just as I started getting settled and cosy there, and the rug gets pulled out from under me!

Maybe Scott will be relocating to elsewhere, but it really is sad, and an expensive thing to have to do.

I will be popping down there once or twice before Sunday in order to pay due tribute to this great little venue.

Vale Gilt.

ADDITION

Thursday 10th January

Scott sent me the email below this morning, hoping someone might be able to help out:

I'm not really good at asking for help, but here's my deal at the moment. The things I really need right now (apart from money of course) are:
* to hear about any empty space, either for lease or for sale, that might be quickly converted into something
* to hear about any large empty space that might be used for storage or low or no cost for the short term to avoid selling things just to get rid of them
I also want to find, for next week -
* someone who likes gardening and yard work
* someone with handyperson skills that can do clever stuff without having to re-invent the wheel constantly
any assistance will be gratefully received with payment in good karma credits and beer/wine/excess stock ; ) thanks, Scott

Is anyone able to assist here? I reckon that's what this blogging community is about - helping our mates when they need it - so if you can help - either contact me through the 'Email Rita' facility on this blog, or call Scott direct at Gilt - 6224 0551.

Why is it closing, Rita?

A landlord issue I believe, Sir Infoamous.

Sir infoamous, thats funny Rita.. no seriously I laughed.
I was about to ask why, but, I think I can guess without being overly nosey. My sentiments to Scott whom I have never met, but I dislike hearing about any business closing. We all have the grim reaper lurking somewhere, I like to think mines on a scooter and I'm in a faster car and he can't catch me..... I hope.

I don't know the full details cartouche but I reckon you and I are guessing correctly. I suppose that sort of thing is the realm of the 'grim reapers' as you call them.

So, I'm a bit heartbroken about Gilt - it's been a lovely place to hold a residency.

This Friday night is our last Gilty Fridays at Gilt, so we're going to have a party to send it off in fine style.

I'll be playing one last time at Gilt, with mates Oberon Carter, Jared Spurr, Finn Seccomb and a few others.

Rita - hope to see you there.

Fellow commenters - we'd love to see you too...
