Well, my pretties...... who's complaining NOW about the prices at local restaurants, eh?

A RESTAURANT in Britain's financial district has devised a $2250-a-head menu for high-flyers to eat into their substantial bonuses.
Vivat Bacchus has already taken at least half a dozen bookings for the $2250 meal since it began taking reservations yesterday, the Financial Times said today."Many of them work in the city and often ask for something unique during bonus season,'' co-owner Neleen Strauss said."I have found over the years when bad news begins to circulate around the stock market, our city customers never fully lose their appetites,'' she said.
The menu includes royal Seruga caviar, fresh Bahama rock lobster linguini, grilled Wagyu fillet steak, a 15-variety cheese board and chocolate souffle with clotted cream. Each course is washed down with its own glass of wine, including Chateau Lafite Rothschild and Chateau D'Yquem, although diners can upgrade their vintages at extra cost.

It's a stress thing, Rita. I'd like to stress the bleedin' obvious and say it's an incredible rip-off.
What about the story today in the Toosday Merc saying junk food beats stress?
In other words, these people who've booked could probably have saved themselves about $2200 by going around the corner for a souvlaki and chips plus a tub of rasperry swirl ice cream and a few cadbury flakes, plus some crisps and nuts and turkish delights (cadbury's, none of that real stuff if you don't mind) and timtams and picnics and....gosh this new stress-free diet is GREAT.
Put like that Sir G, I think you've hit on something unique! But then how are those poor rich people going to spend their bonuses?
To quote comedian Robin Williams "Cocain is Gods way of saying you earn too much".
Sure if they want to spend it let them, as an aside, dosen't sound that exciting.
Maybe Marque IV should through in the airfare and bring them down for a more unique dining experience, now that would be Kudos over their mates at the stock exchange.
"Yes heading down to Tassie, at a little waterfront bistro we know, very exclusive; what you didn't get an invite..?"
