More accolades for Paul Foreman from Marque IV - he has been selected by Peter Kuravita, Head Chef at Flying Fish Restaurant, as the Tasmanian chef to take up the following:
The Fernando family, of Dilmah Tea fame in Sri Lanka, has offered the Sydney restaurant, Flying Fish the opportunity to host the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Real Tea in Australia.
By way of background:
Proposed Date: Monday July 7th 2008
Timing: Evening
Venue: Flying Fish Restaurant, Pyrmont, NSW
Line Up: One chef from each state and territory in Australia to put together a collection of creative, tea-inspired recipes, 4 per chef. For a tea-inspired food and beverage cook book,
they require the chef to come up with a 4 course meal.
On the night of the dinner all chefs will be flown to Sydney and together they will create an eight course degustation menu for the guests assembled.
Suggested remuneration and benefits: will include an all expenses paid trip to Sri Lanka where they will have high quality accommodation, see something of the country, visit the tea estates and so forth. This visit would be combining leisure and some publicity related work.
This visit will take place in May or June for 10 days.
A full felicitation in the media, both related to the 20th Anniversary of Dilmah and separately. The separate part of the publicity will consist of a full page, full colour feature on each Chef, which will take the form of an advertisement, presenting their tea-inspired recipes, of course with minimal Dilmah branding but with the Chef, in image and text occupying 50% or more of the page.
It will be strong branding as those ads will be placed in an upscale gourmet magazine on the lines of Gourmet Traveller &/or Delicious.
Congratulations to Paul - a well deserved honour.

Well done Paul, a more deserved chef would be hard to find. Keep flying that Tassie flag!
Cheers Gobbler
