I'll just bet you had to work REALLY hard to mis-spell that comment! Wel dun! But what about this spelling of James in todays Mercury - Jaymz - Blayz' new little bro?
my long time favourite has been Jaxyn, but last week I spotted one that I think may be even better.
Perhaps inspired by Carl and Roberta Williams, according to a recent birth announcement in the Mercury, we now have a little girl in Hobart called.....no, not Dakota, nor Dahkota...but
Decoda.
I sympathise with Forde, and all the others blessed (?) with unusual names, and those with normal sounding names but given an interesting twist for the spelling, but unusual names combined with idiosyncratic spelling must be the worst thing a parent can do to a child.
Apparently there is a significant statistical correlation between unusual names and psychiatric disorders. (if you think your parents were out to get you, maybe you were right?)
Oh Susannah - what a shame for little Decoda, but I like Anon's career choice for her - in ASIO!
As for you Sir G - naturally we all agree with that particular bit of logic! Indeed what chance did you have being named Sir Grunpy? Your parents must have been reacting REALLY badly to something? I suppose that name goes well with some of my friends nicknames - I have 'Stupid' and 'Idiot' as friends!

perhaps a marketing attempt to catch one's attention? humour?
got attention, but the wrong sort..
LT
I hope it WAS indeed an attempt at humour! It grabbed my attention!
Or maybe because we have to wade through all the smokers outside it was spelling and grammar.
Coming in to cough, eh?
I know it's not food related but Jaymz & Blayz did jump out at me!
When I think about the crap I got at school for being named 'forde' I can only offer these poor poor children my sympathies.
Actually just imagine if you found out the chef of a new place was called Jaymz/Blayz - I wouldn't eat there!
Forde, I'm going to have to agree with you there! What sort of food would Jaymz or Blayz make?
On the issue of very curious spelling of names...

Look at my name...Sir Grumpy...what chance did I have?
People think it's made up.

Decoda...dear oh dear. Maybe destined for a career in ASIO?
