Isn't it beautiful there Rita. My cousin is a very good amatuer photographer. On my lounge room wall I have a photo of the sleeping lady and the hanging doo dads in the trees. If I can find them I'll email them to you. I personally love the swans and have them but the photo is very long and I'm looking for a frame. Nothing like lounging on those lawns on the great, big, cushions with a glass of moobrew in the hand of my beloved and a nice glass of red in mine. Not the blog guy, a real glass of red.
Christina, Sally Brown the artist & one time, fabbo pastry chef, made those hanging doo-dads from the Oak.Look out for her work as she is a very up & coming artist/furniture designer.
Hey Gobbler, I just googled Sally and am now in love with her lamps. She has one called Tango which is amazingly graceful. Cocoon is also beautiful. Thanks for the tip. I'll now keep my eye out. All this and she's a pastry chef. Very impressive.
Not only that, but she was the wonder woman who did the better half of Rita's new kitchen renovation! So, yes - she's a great artist, pastry maker AND renovator! Massively impressive! Her husband is one lucky (and spoilt) man!
Rita, you are right, life does not get any better than living in Tasmania.
As I sit here in my office I look up to our glorious mountain with the bright blue sky behind it and the moon nearly gone, am invigorated (not just by the crisp bite of the air!) and think how lucky we are.
Hi LT - I am also blessed with an office window view of the amazing Mt Wellington. Sunny winter days in Hobart are just magic!! The play of sun and shadow on the Organ Pipes is just lovely.
Rita - some weeks ago a friend from my university days last century paid a return visit to Hobart. We lunched at Salamanca (only a short walk from the office) and reached the general conclusion that, yes, I was very lucky to live in Hobart!

So where is it?
Sir G - it's PB.
OOPS, yes, I went back and worked it out, silly me. But thanks, Rita.
