My husband Nick and I went to check out Bamboo on Macquarie St last night (in the old Flourishing Court spot) in the hope that it might be a cheaper version of Me Wah. It was still expensive but really yummy. The only problem was the strong smell of disinfectant coming from the bathroom combined with fresh paint. it was interesting to see that many of the front-of-house and kitchen staff have followed Me Wah’s sous chef to the new location. I didn’t feel like I could pry into whether the break-up was amicable or not.
