Monica, mum of Anon2, a regular commenter on this blog, departed this life last night. Mon was an author, a bon vivant, a lively lady with a great sense of humour, a personality in her own right, a great eater and a fabulous cook - most notably the wonderful pavlova's which she managed to wow generations with.
I mourn the loss of Monica hugely, and will miss her place at our annual Christmas lunch table this year, unbelievably.
My love and sympathy to all her family.
