Back to work for 2007

Bugger! The evil return-to-work day is one sleep away and already I can feel my body slowly tensing up in anticipation.

It's strange how work does that to you. I actually enjoy my work, which really helps. But that doesn't prevent the sinking feeling of the drudgery of every day for another full year getting out of bed, to get showered, to go to work, to deal with and solve problems, to fulfil business plans, to network and workshop, and the list goes on and on ad infinitum.

In a perverse sort of way, I like the feeling at the beginning of a fresh new year, when you don't know exactly what this coming year will bring; when, even though you're just continuing what was occurring when Christmas rudely interrupted, it seems like everything is totally new and you're getting a chance to start all over again.

So - here's to 2007. Yet another year I am fortunate enough to see commence. I will take a deep breath and soldier on for another 11 months, then check the list on the back of the bedroom door, (referred to a few posts ago) to see how I've done this year.
