Food Kitty's back!

Break out the champagne (or in my case, the Lucaston Apple Juice!).

Between them, Gobbler and Kitty rate right up there with me for many reasons. Mainly for their gutsiness, in a small town like Hobart, to put it out like they do, and quite honestly and frankly state exactly what they think about various issues round food and eating.

They also have quite distinctive styles of expressing themselves, and a certain quirky humour in doing so as well.

I envy and admire their sense of self. Some might call it egotism. I don't. When you're younger you tend to exude it, but it gets knocked out of you generally, over the years, leaving a shadow of that egotistical younger person from way back. You start to doubt yourself and you're finished.

These two bloggers have well and truly not buckled under. They have absolutely no problem giving their opinion, no matter what. I love that.

So - welcome back Kitty.

(For those who might not realise - you can click on any of the named links on my blog here, where it reads 'Sites I love to keep an eye on' to your right, and that will take you straight to that site.)

(The above info about the links to other sites is called CUSTOMER SERVICE! I practice what I preach!)

Geez Mum, you're such a bloody groupie.

Yep - us bloggers have gotta stick together!

By the way Nellie - it's usually easier, and more common, amongst us humans to attack than to praise. Too often as adults we don't get the acknowledgement we deserve.

These two bloggers, whatever my personal thoughts about them as people, are worthy of praise for having the guts to call it as they see it, and to actually express it in a public forum such as this.

It doesn't take "guts" to blog; it just requires a computer. An opinion and a reasonable level of articulation help, as does a sense of humour. You forget many bloggers opt for anonymity, therefore courage (guts) is irrelevant.

BTW, I agree with you that Kitty and Gobbler (and indeed yourself) offer magnificent opinion humour.

Thank you Rita. As a rampant egomaniac, I think this is a fabulous entry - one of your best...

Nellie, it might not take guts, but it does take a very thick skin, doesn't it? - some comments can be extraordinarily tight-arsed mean.
As for anonimity, we all know this is a very small pond....
