Xmas Day follow-up

Christina left the message below under the post I wrote a few weeks ago about my Xmas preparations.

She spoke about researching places she might take the family for Xmas lunch this year, and promised to tell us the results of her search. Thank you Christina. You have provided us with more food for thought there. It goes without saying that we'd like detailed feedback about your meal there on Xmas Day!!

CUSTOMS HOUSE is the venue of choice for Xmas Day lunch for the Christina family.

Christina has left a new comment on your post "Christmas Day - to cook, or not to cook, that is t...": Hi to all,Just thought I'd let you know we finally decided on Customs for lunch on Christmas day. The menu sounds great. 3 courses for $55.00. Quite reasonable I think. Hope I don't live to regret our decision. Fear of the unknown I suppose, having not been to Customs for a meal before.Entrees are Caesar salad, selection of dips or Roast pumpkin & Sweet potato soup. Pork, turkey or fish for mains and plum pudding, sorbet or cheese plate for dessert. Much fancier on the menu I was sent than I have described, but if it tastes as good as it reads, it should be wonderful. Posted by Christina to Hobart Food for thought at August 13, 2007 6:26 AM

Fear not Christina, the Customs House is an exccellent choice. I have eaten there occasionally and have always been impressed by the standard of the food.
After reading your account of the menu, I am tempted to take my mob there as well.

I would go one further than Curly Lasagna and say you had made an inspired choice Christina.

We will look forward very much to having you and your family at the Customs House for Chrismas Lunch.

All the best

Thanks Alex! And welcome.

Christina - in case you don't know him, Alex is Head Chef at Customs, so if he's looking after you, I reckon you're in for a great Xmas lunch!

Curly - thanks for the vote of confidence. Maybe I'll see you there with MY mob!

Well I'm feeling much more confident now, and I hope to see you all there on Christmas Day.
If at all possible we must make ourselves known to each other.
Thankyou for your welcome Alex. I must say it was your wonderful menu, so reasonable prices, and your friendly staff, in particular Karen, that helped make our decision so much easier.I did put a fair amount of time into my research and Customs was an easy choice to make. I know I didn't do your menu justice though. Very early in the morning. Sorry.
