....the Hale empire is building.
I heard the other day, and had it verified today, that David Hale had taken on the Telegraph Hotel.
Where next? Makos, then Salad Bowl, and now he currently has Fish Bowl, The Observatory and Telegraph.
Look out Henry Jones!

Is it also true Rita that you will soon be taking over the Blog World? :) All the best for your website!!
Anon No1
Yep Anon1. You got that right! Would appreciate some Mon tips on the perfect pav for the site too, by the way. Possible?
What will change Rita? Has he other plans for the pub?
Yes it's all HALE CAESAR SALAD.
I'll get back to you on that one Gobbler. I heard rumours of the installation of those 'slushy' machines that make margaritas.
I'll be on a fact-finding mission next week. Expect much news/info/gossip!
You know where I live Rita, come around and I'll show you the recipe.

Hey all,
I've heard (as a little song-birdy) that they are rethinking their entertainment. Not sure how this will impact on the scene in it's entirety.
Cheers,
Amy
The old Trout Hotel has been taken over by Juniper who used to own the Red velvet in Cygnet. It promises to have a Burlesque Caberet Kinda atmosphere
Isn't it nice to have a venue to share all our scuttlebutt?
Just to jumb aboard the rumour bandwagon. I heard the Tele will be expanding it's $10 meal deal through the start of the week.
On another piece of scuttlebut - Alistair Wise the ex Gordon Ramsey Pastry star is back in town and is planning a little something. Had a very interesting chat with him this afternoon and from what it sounds I wouldn't like to eat at his NY establishment. But it augers well for Hobarts dining scene with something different planned.
Why not NY, HRV? Was it the prices?
Oh behave!!!!!
forde & jill - welcome and thanks for contributing.
hrv - sounds very interesting. Please report back when you can say more.
Sir G - I hope Jill wasn't referring to you when she requested behaviour! I think the problem is too many pistachios!
Mmmm - slushy machines. Have been trying to hire one of these - apparently Hobart doesn't have any at all for hire.
Yes you can, Anon 11.25.
DETAILS: You can hire the machine. It can be dropped off to you, then picked up when you've finished with it. The glasses will be supplied with it. You can choose flavours you want. There are 20 flavours to select from. It can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
Call Deb on 0417 581 244 and she'll look after you. Tell her you're the one from Rita's blog. I already spoke to her to get these specific details.
Good luck.
fyi - they are also about to relaunch Red Kellys Dressings
