A real favourite of ours.
Always a friendly greeting and mostly good service.
My favourite pizzas in Hobart to the point where I only ever get pizza from Angelos
Always happy to change ingredients on pizza or swap sauces on pasta.
The smell as you walk in the door, the noise, the welcome, all adds up to a great little place to dine.
Always busy, so make sure you book plenty in advance.
What can I say, its a family favourite and probably the best Itallian food in town. Dine at least six times a year at Da Angelos. Seems to have newish wait staff of late. Dined last about 5 or 6 weeks ago? Scallopini. Wonderful.
Wonderful as always. Went again February 1st and all 8 of us thought it was great.
Seated in the new area upstairs, very light and airy, great service and fantstic food.
Somewhere you can really rely on.
Fantastic pizzas. We love it and always go there on a Friday night.
D'Angelo's was our first foray into Hobart pizza - we chose it for its popularity and being close to a few reliable restaurants.
It was quite simply awful. I haven't eaten 'pizza' of this style or quality since about 1992. Looking at the produce en place in the pizza section made me feel ill, but we forged ahead with the meal anyway.
All their 'gourmet' pizzas have brie in them, for goodness sake. What a huge disappointment.
Brie? At the authentic Italian restaurant? Anonomouse will be having a field day if he/she saw that...
Update. Of course another wonderful meal with fantastic service from Sophie last night. Consistantly better than good on all levels.
I love Da Angelos' pizzas.
My only grump is with the so-called gourmet variety everywhere.
Less is more with pizza and some of the disjointed unbalanced concoctions out there are unbelievably bad.
Just as bad as pineapple on the ordinary variety.
All you need is a great base, and good tomato paste, cheese and a bit of meat (so to speak). Not even the meat sometimes.
