Congratulations Kuzina

Credit where credit’s due – congratulations must go to Industrylink, and Nick Platon, for their winning of the Training Provider Award of the year at the Tasmanian Training Awards last Friday night.

The bonus that they also won the Training Initiative award is a huge tribute to their efficiency as a training organization.

Their training restaurant, Kuzina, drew a lot of comments both positive and negative on this blog site a few months ago, so it interests me to observe this outcome. Obviously not all users of their services (ie hospitality employers in Hobart) are of what appeared to be the over-riding opinion of commenters on this blog at that time.

Love him or hate him, it looks like Nick Platon is making his mark on hospitality training in the town. Well done Nick.

I'm a bit wary now! Never trust an award winner, especially training award winners. Hmmm?

Is that a holiday photo Rita?

Sure is Kitty - taken by your b-i-l when he and Bec did the Barrier Reef dive day last Thursday. Well spotted!

What's happening Rita...have you lost the spark?
Gobbler gone, Snitch gone....now you've gone quiet...it's bleak out here...has everybody got thuis damn flu?

Sir G - I seem to have lost my mojo! Not sure whether it's because I'm on holidays, and not as fired up as usual, or whether it's because I don't have my partner-in-crime Gobbler to bouce off, or what, but each day I have sat in front of the laptop, and nothing seems to come forth!

Any suggestions?

Yes girl, it is called blogger's block. The rapid local changes (Gobbler etc) have left you flattish.
Now, as your self-appointed therapist, I'm going to get you motivated again, Rita.
I want you to find a quiet spot and get comfortable...count down from 100 concentrating on your breathing.
Try to clear your mind and think of NOTHING BUT FOOD AND DRINK.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Best Pies, Takeaways, Who is going where, seasonal produce, kitchen knives, pots pans, stovetops, fresh vegies, diets, fruit and veggies, best markets, outings with pals, indulgence food, the quest for a decent glass of sticky, coffee tea, dad's wisdom, post-holiday ruminations (can be painful), best for kids, what hobart needs, who is visiting, TV chefs, chocolate, pastries, bread...ice cream, come on Rita, we NEED you.
But remember, if you are tired, relax...a pressurised Rita is not the Rita we want.
This has been a party non-political broadcast on behalf of your readers.

At the very least, you gave me a good laugh Sir G!
Thanks for that party political broadcast.
I'll go to bed (that's the quiet and comfortable spot you suggested). Think about nothing but food and drink - well that's just how my mind works anyway!
I'll try some Rita-therapy: tomorrow I'll do some cooking, and take myself out for lunch somewhere. I plan on another dose of "Mamma Mia" tomorrow night (if it's still on at the movies), so that should boost me immensely.

Hopefully I can come up with something worth reading? Maybe you should draft up a little review, just in case, eh Sir G? A guest review of somewhere controversial?
