Please look closely at Hill Street Grocer's claim to sell only humanely treated, free range meat. The stock mainly Nichols Chicken - even they don't claim to be free range themselves on their website. Also, Scottsdale Pork, so pricey, is only bred free - ie. born outside then carted inside for the rest of their growing, eventually in small cells with 4 to 5 pigs. Their eggs come from farms which use the bogus free range priciples, many of which come from battery hens.I am a meat eater but extremely disillusioned as to where I can buy ethical meat for my family.
