Experienced Kitchen Steward job going at PB

I want to formally express my gratitude on behalf of all older workers to David Martin, Head Chef at Peppermint Bay. David has a job going at PB in today's Merc which is realistic and honest in the way it is worded, and the target market he is trying to appeal to.

He specifically adds that "mature aged people are encouraged to apply" for the job (obviously if they feel they fit the criteria mentioned). That job ad rocks as far as I'm concerned. That really is smart thinking David.

Well done, and I sincerely hope you attract some applicants for your Experienced Kitchen Steward job.

Hi Rita, just wanted to say had a really lovely night at Amulet last week. Was going to contribute a comment to Rita's Bite but was surprised that Amulet didn't feature? Incredibly attentive service and great food, despite a couple of hiccups (ie didnt have enough menus so we were provided a comlimentary glass of lovely bubbles and bread). We also had lunch at Mussel Boys in Tarana (we were Tassie tourists at the weekend) and I notice that you havent been to Mussel Boys either... will have to fix that. Last but not least, we dined last minute at T42 last night and must say am always impressed by the consistency of T42. Always good value and always a little eccentric! Off to Lebrina tomorrow night, so will be interesting to see how compares with your recent experiences.

LT (soon to be the side of a house!)

Was that you Rita at Piccolo a couple of days ago. You know what it's like when you have an image in your mind of how some-one looks and then you overhear them order a well-done steak - almost confirms it - but no post from you! Do you have a double?

I possibly have a double Anon 12.16, as I haven't yet had the honour of dining at Piccolo! There must be one other heretic here in Hobart who loves a well done steak!
But if you only have a mind-picture of Rita, that person may well not be a double at all!
I'd like you to picture Jean Shrimpton, then you're more on track! If you don't know who she is, or can't picture her, you're definitely heading down the wrong track!
Hi LT - am rectifying the points you made re restaurants not yet visited, and you just know which is my next 'target' don't you?
I'm really looking forward to lunch at Meadowbank next Monday, and hope you'll enjoy reading about it after!
